Incorporating Aerogel helps in achieving carbon neutrality while maintaining these distinctive characteristics

Why Origin?
The Glass Centre chose Origin as their preferred brand for windows and doors due to their high quality and fast delivery times. The inclusion of Aerogel in the windows also gave the business reassurance that they had made the best choice for their project. The Glass Centre has experience installing numerous brands, but ultimately decided that Origin was the best option.

Product Choice...
To ensure high thermal efficiency, the newly built Carbon Neutral/Negative houses utilised the OB-49 single doors and the OW-80 with Aerogel. The Glass Centre's Tony, an experienced Origin Trade Partner for over 15 years, recommended these products due to his extensive knowledge of the brand and their compatibility with the project.

The Black Grey 7021M RAL coating was chosen for its unique shade compared to the commonly used Anthracite Grey 7016M. Additionally, the Black Grey is part of the popular colour selection with a quick delivery time of only 48 hours, despite being completely customised.

Aerogel…
Including Aerogel in the Origin Windows was crucial for The Glass Centre because it a top insulator, resulting in the industry's best possible U-Values. Origin stands out from other aluminium manufacturers because they are the only ones that offer Aerogel inclusion, making them the top choice for anyone seeking the most thermally efficient aluminium windows. Trade Partner…
The Glass Centre has been a Trade Partner of Origin for over 15 years and is the top Trade Partner in the Brighton & Hove area, having placed more than 1000 orders. They chose these buildings because they find them beautiful.

Story on why it was built…
The site is similar to others in Brighton & Hove, with a tight urban space and no current use. The planning process was difficult, with refusals and lost appeals due to cramped development, size, overlooking, and lack of space. However, Liam Russell Architects designed an innovative solution in 2017, gaining planning consent for three sustainable units that maximized the site's potential. The client's goal was for each unit to minimise carbon use, and completion confirmed that they are better than carbon neutral.

A brief description of the project:
The site used to have double garages and workshops, but those were no longer needed. The proposal is to build three 2-bedroom homes with an open-plan design.

The ground floor of each unit includes a living, kitchen, and dining area, as well as a shower and cloakroom. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms and a family bathroom. Additionally, each unit has a hardstanding area for parking and storage for bins and bikes. A small balcony area is also located on the first floor.
