3D printing the future

3D printing the future

Visitors to Manchester's Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) have been wowed by how 3D printing is revolutionising the fields of architecture, construction, medicine & engineering. The 3D: Printing the future exhibition brings together hundreds of 3D printed objects, from 3D printed knickers to 3D printed pills and a synthetic heart.

Hobs Studio are delighted to be the presenting partner for the exhibition and have 3D printed most of the items on display. The exhibition also features live 3D printing demonstrations on most days which are powered by Hobs Studios. The exhibition celebrates the creativity and examines the potential of this ground-breaking technology. It reveals how 3D printing will change our lives, including how it's radically changing the way that medicines and replacement body parts are designed and produced.

Sally MacDonald, Director of MOSI commented "I wish to thank Hobs Studio personally for laser scanning Bez's head and for producing the 3D printed models. Having had a bit of experience with 3D printing, in my last role at UCL, it's brilliant how you met this challenge".
